Meet Amie, Manging Director & Senior Adult Speech Pathologist

Amie is the Managing Director and Senior Adult Speech Pathologist for Therapy Alliance. Amie is incredibly dedicated and passionate about her work. She founded Therapy Alliance with a vision that the heart of every therapy experience lies in the foundation of a strong therapeutic alliance. This connection is not just a professional relationship, but a partnership built on trust, respect, and inclusion. For Amie, establishing such an alliance is not just a goal, it's a cornerstone of her practice.
Amie’s approach to support is centered around the belief that holistic care doesn’t happen in isolation. It thrives when client, therapist and others involved in the care team are aligned in purpose and goals. Her vision is simple yet profound: to create a space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered to take the steps toward their best selves.
Her whole career has been dedicated to continuing to build her knowledge and experience in general & complex dysphagia across all medical conditions, stroke recovery, traumatic brain injury, dementia, intellectual disability and progressive diseases, to provide the best possible tailored support. Amie is SPEAK OUT! certified and has completed the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program.
When she's not working, Amie loves spending quality time with her favourite humans, her Frenchie Frankie, soaking up the sun, spending time in nature, supporting the Matilda's, reading romantasy crime, or psychological thriller novels, immersing herself in her Aboriginal culture as a proud Gomeroi woman, and enjoying amazing food or coffee.
Amie services Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, and the Northern Central Coast. If you think Amie might be a good fit to support you, your loved one or participant, contact us today.
